To mark the end of the summer and the oncoming rush of work during the shorter and darker days, we at AML decided to return to the most traditional of British pastimes, rounders (and drinking!), but with an international twist.
In a slight change of format from last summer and to mark our increased international diversity in spite of Brexit, we all went down to The Regent’s Park for a game of American-themed rounders. Red cups surrounded the home base as we did some international team-building – drinking French wine, eating Spanish ham and chatting (but only in English) – before getting down to the serious business of rounders.
As you can see in the video, there were some standout performances and some… not so standout performances. But all-in-all, as an end-of-summer event, it went down very well. We are now fully refreshed and ready to take on the rest of the year (or at least until the next AML event!).
