On May 10th, the AML team of Jack, Aidan, Duncan, Hugo and Ian will be embarking on a 125km prison-to-prison-to-prison bike ride in support of Onwards & Upwards and XO Bikes.
Onwards & Upwards is an innovative charity that looks to break the cycle (no pun intended) of reoffending by training, mentoring and employing out of prison. Their first venture is XO bikes, a company that trains ex-offenders (Hence X.O.) as bike mechanics and salespeople, providing them with valuable skills to start rebuilding their life.
It will be equal parts fun and absolute hell. But it’s for a bloody good cause, something we’re really keen to help support and be a part of.
We’re hoping to raise £1250 as a team, so any support you could give us is going to help push those shaky little legs of ours a little further until we finally arrive at Herne Hill velodrome for a well deserved BBQ. Or a nap.
