AML has CMOs for dinner

The world of the CMO is getting more complicated all the time – global disruption, pressure on everything from compliance to budget, accelerating AI adoption. AML hosts  private round-table dinners where senior marketing leaders can get together for honest, peer-level discussion about their hopes, fears … and of course the strategic value of simple ideas.

Chatham House rules

Our recent UK dinner (in a private room at the outstanding Luca, a long-standing AML favourite across the street from our old Clerkenwell offices) focused on one central theme: in financial services, brand is no longer just a marketing asset – it’s a business imperative.

The discussion explored how financial brands are using emotional connection, creativity and distinctiveness to drive growth and loyalty. The CMOs shared what excites them – and what keeps them up at night – in a world defined by hyperfast change.

We talked about the gap between AI ambition and operational reality; how to solve compliance challenges across expanding MarTech stacks; whether we’ve reached “peak Finfluencer”; and the overwhelming takeaway? Huge ambition across the sector – but limited opportunity for candid, strategic dialogue among peers.

Next stop: New York

Of course, we can’t reveal our guests’ innermost secrets. But we are hosting our next CMO Dinner in New York on the 18th of March 2026. As with all our dinners, attendance is senior-level, private, and discussion-led designed to foster open conversation, shared perspective and practical insight.

If you’re a senior marketing leader in financial services and would like to learn more about attending, we’d be pleased to hear from you.
